# Worldwide Language Context

- **Site version:** `v100.0.27-independent-live-acceptance-kit-wip`
- **Updated UTC:** `2026-07-24T20:30:00Z`
Release: `v100.0.14-handoff-provenance-repair-wip`

The public language directory exposes 1,515 territory-language context records across all 250 country and area pages. The source snapshot is derived from Unicode CLDR territory-language data through Babel 2.18.0, with English display names supplemented from pycountry where needed.

## Boundaries

- Territory data is descriptive context and may be incomplete, dated, or non-additive.
- Multilingual estimates may overlap and are not required to sum to 100 percent.
- Official status never means every resident speaks a language.
- Absence or a small estimate never makes a language community unimportant or less authentic.
- A country or area record never assigns a language, ethnicity, citizenship, politics, religion, competence, loyalty, or behavior to an individual.
- A generated character language becomes biography only when explicitly selected and stored with family, early-life, education, migration, residence, community, or professional provenance.
